Jornada 568 and Windows Mobile Device Center

Greetings...

I replaced the battery on my Jornada 568 and the system did a full reset,
thereby wiping out all my data. Didn't think it was all that devastating
because I had it backed up on my computer and could do a restore.

Alas, I'm unable to get the Jornada to connect to my computer and need help.

I'm at a disadvantage because I bought the Jornada used and it didn't have
any software or a manual, so I'm running blind. I have everything for an
earlier 548 that I used extensively, so the transition wasn't too bad.

Long story short (I know, too late!), I could really use some help with
this.

BTW, this is all the more complicated as my computer is running Vista Home
Premium.

TIA...

Mike

Re: Jornada 568 and Windows Mobile Device Center

WMDC 6.1 only with devices running Windows Mobile 2003 or later. HP's
Jornada 56X series used PocketPC2002 operating system, so it could be
establish connection between device and computer. If you want to connect to
device, you have to back to Windows XP with old versin of ActiveSync.

I had used Jornada 568, too. But no longer using it for exhausted battery.
:-(
