| SanDisk direct to SD card DVR and CorePlayer Has any one used this SanDisk DVR to make video that plays on a Pocket PC? http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?inv...-A-A30&cat=FLM There is a PAL version , as well. It sounds like it could be a quick and easy way to create SD chips with movies or TV shows on them. Instead of having to transcode to my PDA's video size and resolution requirements, this box could capture directly to what I would need, and do it onto an SD card that would plug into my PDA. The formats listed should play well using the CorePlayer, perhaps even the free version. Most of the video sources that I have still have Composite outputs, as well as the newer and higher resolution outputs. I'm not sure, but I think that on some equipment, the composite output remains active even while the other HD outputs are being used. If it records at 3.5 hours per GB, you could put 14 hours of TV on a 4GB SD card, or maybe 6 DVDs. This could make acquiring usable video fare for mobile devices a snap. SanDisk seems a reliable company in the flash memory marketplace. Has anyone tried it out? Luck; Ken |

| Re: SanDisk direct to SD card DVR and CorePlayer As it uses MPEG-4 Simple Profile H.263, it most probably (I'd say, 99%) can be played back with CorePlayer. (Nervetheless, this format isn't the best, quality-wise.)
