I found this thread while trying to understand why both my old iPAQ 2210/15 (under WM 2003) and my new HTC Touch Pro 2 (under WM 6.1) are displaying only one appointment on my Today screen. Looks like MS haven't fixed this basic problem over the period of 6 or more years! Perhaps I'm doing something wrong here, but the issue seems worse than Todd described. I haven't pinned it down, but here are some observations, all made with "Upcoming appointments" enabled. - While testing this morning I have at some stage seen two entries, but can no longer repeat that. - I had an all day event in my series of appointments, spread over 3 days. I have changed it to a normal appointment. But still not getting the correct result. - Test #1 has these in Calendar: Tues (Today): Normal appointment Wed (Tomorrow): Normal appointment Thurs: Normal that was originally an all day Fri: Normal But only Tues is shown. - Test #2, as above but deleted Thurs, so now have 3 appointments in near future, all 'normal'. Tues: Normal Wed: Normal Fri: Normal Only Tues is shown. I tried soft resets but no difference. Do others ever see multiple appointments (without third party add-ons) and if so what's the trick please? -- Terry, East Grinstead, UK |

I suspect the design theory is that it's a "Today" screen, not a "Week-at- Glance" screen, so events on future days do not show _unless_ there are no upcoming events today. When the last of today's appointments begins, future day's appointments will appear. All day events really mess things up, and aren't shown as "upcoming"- they only show on the actual day. Due to this, and time-zone shifting problems, I stopped using all-day events and just make long events (e.g. 6AM-6PM). |
