Resco Explorer 2007 FTP

I am just testing FTP on Resco File Explorer, I can connect to my FTP server
and upload files, but I cannot see a list of the files that I have uploaded.
Anyone know how I view files available on my FTP server using Resco File
Explorer FTP...?

Thanks

Re: Resco Explorer 2007 FTP

1. Can you see any files / directories at all (ouside your directory)? If
you can't, switch to passive mode.

2. if you can, check the server-side FTP settings. Many FTP servers render
the contents of upload directories invisible for clients to avoid using them
for quick file swapping & pirating sites. In your case, I think this is the
case.

Im not sure what the problem is Werner... I have tried with and without
Passive mode ticked and both times I cannot see the contents of the upload
folder. If however I connect via FTP using a desktop PC running XP, I can
then see the contents no problem. I need to be able to see the contents of
the folder in order to delete files. Could it be that I need to look at
another FTP program and what can you recommend as an alternative to Resco?
(not that I dont like Resco, but it appears not to be showing the folder
contents).

ps The version of Resco is 2005, and the OS is WM2003SE.

Thanks, Tony

Yeah, definitely givbe a try to another client - for example, vxFTP or the
others I've reviewed as it seems the server is configured right (that is, it
does allow the clients to list the directory.)
