Actally, when I was testing SPTimesync initially I was very surprised to see that time was already very accurate. Later on I realised that I get a time sync from my BT GPS receiver. That's hence one other way to sync... -- regards, |\ /| | \/ |@rk \../ \/os |

Tried different time servers, connected by wifi or BT but after pressing 'query' host time, and waiting for looooong time, I get error: 'connection refused 10060'. -- regards, |\ /| | \/ |@rk \../ \/os |

| Re: time sync >> doesn't work, frequent failures << Thinking about this, and considering that I have rarely had any problem and only once have I ever encountered a wrong date and time, I would guess that the problem is likely that the default time server list shipped with vxUtil is stale and out of date... fwiw, I have made significant updates to my list and have a registry file that loads the updated vxutil list to the ppc registry when cold booting or moving to a new device. Further, recently found that the default servers presented by vxUtil are designed for automatic processes rather than individual devices. Further research exposed "pool" servers which are specifically designed for individual computers and devices. http://www.pool.ntp.org/en/use.html More info at; http://tf.nist.gov/tf-cgi/servers.cgi http://support.ntp.org/bin/view/Servers/WebHome If anyone is interested, I will update and post my vxUtil timeserver registry file which will populate the vxUtil timeserver list.
