Need SMTP server for when travelling with WM2003

Just wondering if anyone in this group could recommend a free (or not free)
SMTP server, so I can send email from Qmail (Windows Mobile 2003SE), when
travelling around. The plan is to connect to the net from several different
locations, some wifi, other via bluetooth and mobile phone networks, so I
need something that will allow me to send from any place, any time. Any
ideas guys and gals?

ps, if you cant help with the above... is there any way I can quickly send
and receive email from googlemail (Gmal) using the PPC?, any client for
gmail for the ppc, or maybe you have another way to do it?

Thanks a lot, hope you can help.

GMail supports both POP3 and IMAP or receive (you have to turn one or the
other on from the GMail web interface settings) and SMTP to send so it will
work with either QMail or the built-in Messaging app.

In addition, AOL supports IMAP and SMTP, and Hotmail supports POP3 and SMTP,
so they'll work with QMail and Messaging as well.

You can add support for this by download the support files from here
http://q3.snak.org/download/openssl/...arm-0.9.8a.zip

Just copy the files from your downloaded zip file to your Qmail folder.
This will give you SSL and STARTTLS support.

Regards Eric

It's not greyed out on mine, but I'm using a 3.0.x version. Perhaps you
might upgrade? (Though I don't remember it being greyed out in 2.9.x
either...)

In either case, you shouldn't need it- the "SSL" setting works fine for
GMail.
