Re: Outlook Express

Unfortunately, syncing is designed to be done with Outlook, not Outlook
Express.

The short answer is you don't. Activesync/Windows Mobile Device Center only
syncs with Outlook by design.

There's a utility called SyncExpress that adds Outlook Express syncing for
WM2003 and WM5. It's $18 but has a free trial.

I haven't tried it personally, but if you want to try it, it's available
here: http://www.syncdata.it/syncexpress.html

Apart from the Address book, what is there to Sync?

The address book is my main concern.

(Especially where regular Outlook is acting up.)

the only thing you could conceivably sync with Outlook Express is
contacts and email. OE doesn't do the rest. OE, is dead of course
as neither vista or Win7 support it. People need to get Outlook
to really sync, or better yet, a hosted Exchange account or just
use Google's Gmail for Exchange syncing of contacts and
appointments. That is what my wife uses.

Re: Outlook Express

I'm at a loss to respond since the message you reference was posted the
better part of a year ago and scrolled off of this newsgroup long ago.

As far as OE and pocketpc's go, OE has never natively synced with winCE
devices although there are third party oe sync options.
