Hi All,

I have a KJam WM5 device. Recently two today apps have
disappeared from my Today screen, namely cLaunch and
Notes Today. They are both set-up on the today screen
options, and they're options can both be set, but when I
return to the Today screen, they no longer appear!

Does anyone have any ideas? I've tried soft resets and re-installs
to no avail, and I really found these apps useful.

I've not really installed anything else that should affect these
programs, and have tried turning off other today apps and changing
the order, but still have had no joy. HELP!!

Were these programs you installed yourself, and are they installed on a
storage card or on the device itself?

These sound like 3rd party applications you must have installed
yourself later.
If so, try reinstalling those applications.

If you are sure those applications came by default on your K-Jam, you
could try a hard reset (Clear Storage, under settings, system), and
your K-Jam will be restored to its original state. This means you will
lose all your personal data.

Order on the today screen is controlled by this registry item:
HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Today/Items/...
There is an entry for every item called "Order" which should control
the order of things on your today screen. (Top of screen is item 0 & the
value increases from there.) Sometimes there is a clash of order numberings
- seems to develop spontaneously. This results in either random ordering,or
some items not appearing. So get yourself a registry editor and go edit
the Order entry for every Today item so that they have unique numbers. It
may fix your problem.

I took a look at the registry and the numbers went 1-2-3-38-40-42-44 etc
with the higher numbers the unselected today apps (mostly 3rd party). I
solved the problem by selecting them all again, resetting, then de-selecting
the ones I didn't want. Lets hope the solution lasts!
