| help with duplicate calendar items I have a Dell Axim Pocket PC 2003 device on which I have managed to duplicate calendar entries. For example, I have an all-day event that shows up with a parantheses and a number 5, which means I have 5 identical events on that day. If I delete one, it seems to delete ALL of them. My Outlook 2003 calendar does NOT show the duplicates, so everything is good there. It is just the mobile device that shows duplicates. How can I best resolve this? Thanks! |

| Re: help with duplicate calendar items are you sure that this is what the number in paranthesis means - I think it may mean that this is the 5th occurrence of this repeating event. So if this event is on Dec 19, 2006 then it was set up as starting on Dec 19, 2001 and repeating each year. This is quite useful in tracking people's ages on their birthdays f you set them up to begin in the year they were born. -- Laura Rooke MVP - Mobile Devices |

To avoid duplicates select "replace the item on my device". it worked for me. I notice that not all of my appointments have this feature. For example, I have two year events, one of which shows the parenthetical notation, the other does not. Looking at the recurring schedule, I did not see any telltale difference that would cause one to show and the other not to show. Ideas? BTW, thanks! |
