Samsung Blackjack and SSL Certificate

Hello, Just purchased two Samsung Blackjacks at our company, and we're
trying to install our own SSL Certificate on the devices to allow
syncing.
I can copy the certificate to the device, and if I search on the
device, the cert shows up, but the option to Open or Install is grayed
out! How do we get this to install?

Thanks!

Chester

Some carriers lock this function. If this is the case the carrier has
to install it.

I have experience on the Verizon Treo 700W. You just install it on
your XP box and export it as a DER encoded x509 certificate using the
certificates add in for the Microsoft Management Console. Put the .cer
file on the device and double click on it. We got the 700w to sync
over the air with our Exchange server with a private certificate only
to find out the 700p doesn't support installing certificates. We had
to get a certificate from one of the big players anyway. If you have
the budget save your labor and get a commerical certificate. Make sure
to pick a company that has their root in all of your devices. Some
(like GoDaddy's) aren't in mobile devices.
