| Re: looking for communication card Wi-Fi with SD or CF interface with external antenna There are no such cards, as has been pointed out on my blog several times. There are no known ways of hacking them either. Sorry. What I recommend is getting a wireless repeater if you need an external antenna because of the low signal strength at a given place. -- -- Werner "Menneisyys" Ruotsalainen - Microsoft MVP - Windows - Mobile Devices Please see the Pocket PC Mag Expert Blog (including mine) at http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/ - you will definitely like it. <zofiof******.com> wrote in message news:1165423639.642946.56120@80g2000cwy.googlegrou ps.com... > Hello > > I'm looking for communication card Wi-Fi with SD or CF interface with > external antenna that necessary > > Please help me to find it it's very important to me > > any link that can help is wellcome > > > thanks > > zofiof > |

| Re: looking for communication card Wi-Fi with SD or CF interface with external antenna The ASUS WL110 CF card has an external connector under the antenna cover on top of the card, you just slide/click the cover off the card and there it is. There is also a hole in the cover which is by default covered by a thick plastic sticker so you could make it a permanent feature pretty easily. The only issue is that the connector is a UF/L type - like those used on mini-pci cards. Finding a pigtail for it might be tricky but your local microwave RF shop will be able to make one up if it's really important. I've heard of them being found on other CF type cards also, I dont know what brands specifically apart from the Asus. It dosent say anything about it on the spec page for the product but it is definately there. http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1...55&modelmenu=2 Cheers Werner "Menneisyys" Ruotsalainen [MVP - Windows - Mobile Devices] wrote: > There are no such cards, as has been pointed out on my blog several times. > There are no known ways of hacking them either. | Re: looking for communication card Wi-Fi with SD or CF interface with external antenna Thanks for this - I wouldn't have thought this. I've also loaned a friend's WL110 but wouldn't have thought it can be used with an external antenna. Will check it. -- Werner "Menneisyys" Ruotsalainen - Microsoft MVP - Windows - Mobile Devices Please see the Pocket PC Mag Expert Blog (including mine) at http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/ - you will definitely like it. <troy.mitchell******.com> wrote in message news:1165464681.198025.163760@j72g2000cwa.googlegr oups.com... > The ASUS WL110 CF card has an external connector under the antenna > cover on top of the card, you just slide/click the cover off the card > and there it is. > There is also a hole in the cover which is by default covered by a > thick plastic sticker so you could make it a permanent feature pretty > easily. > > The only issue is that the connector is a UF/L type - like those used > on mini-pci cards.
