| SD and Micro SD Is it safe to use a micro SD card with an SD adaptor in an SD slot? Any problems with corruption of data or anything like that? The card in question is a Kingston 1Gb micro SD with adaptor. thanks |

It is used a backup disc on a laptop's SD card slot, used multiple times daily for months, no issue. The card is a very tight fit in the adaptor, something that you might want to check on - the sd card mechanism will do little to hold the micro sd card in the adapter itself, so make sure it can't be accidently lost. |

| Re: SD and Micro SD Hello, I've done this with my Dell x51v with no problems at all (using a SanDisk card). Given the rather simplistic electronics of the MinSD adapter, I would assume that it should work with most if not all devices. I also use it in a PCMCIA adapter on my laptop as well with no problems. Thankyou very much. Yes the micro SD is a very tight fit in the adaptor, so should be okay then. |

| Re: SD and Micro SD Use the micros sd card in my Motorola RAZR phone with my card reader on my PC with no problems. I did read somewhere the reason they put the micro sd card on my phone behind the battery was to make it inconvenient to remove. Reason for this is the micro sd is not designed for lots of insert/remove cycles. Don't know the validity of that, bur sort of makes sense. Did they have to make them so small? :-) |
