developing - how should i store data to move to an access database?

I know my PPC app's data will eventually be exported/transferred/synced
to a microsoft access DB that I also need to develop. Using VS
2005/PPC/Windows Mobile 5.0. But I'm wondering what will be the easiest
way to do this...if I should use SQL mobile/compact/everywhere edition
on the device or store it as an XML file. My priority is whatever is
easiest for the user to use (minimal steps), also need to consider the
transfer method - ActiveSync or SyncWithAccess tool. Any suggestions
appreciated, thanks.

This was also asked in microsoft.public.pocketpc.developer, which is a
much more appropriate newsgroup.
