The address is not valid error on IE

Hi,
I'm using Windows Mobile 5.0 (WM5) on my O2 Atom. I've been using the
internet over WiFi without any problems till now. However, few days ago
Internet Explorer stopped working and now I get the following error
message.
"The address is not valid. Check the address and try again."
I can connect to the net using other applications like O2-Connect and
MS Outlook. The issue is only with IE. Does anybody have an idea on
what's going on? Is this some sort of a proxy issue? Any thoughts on
this is highly appreciated.

Thanks
Shaminda.

Re: The address is not valid error on IE

One thing you could try is to go into the windows folder on your device and
look for a program called welcome, and run it. It will reset some internal
pointers on your device and may help. Also have you tried a soft reset?
These would be the first steps.

Re: The address is not valid error on IE

Thanks David.
I've tried both your suggestions. Still no luck. To make sure the issue
is not with the internet browsers or anything to do with http requests,
I have installed the evaluation version of Opera Mobile on my PDA, and
it works perfectly fine.

Do you know if it's possible to re-installed Pocket IE without actually
reinstalling the entire operating system? or do something similar?

Thanks again for your help.

cheers
Shaminda.
