Programs gone AWOL

I have had a pocket PC for about 6 months now and everything worked okay.
(Mitac Mio 168 compatible running windowsCE)
I had installed all software to the SD card. The problem arose yesterday
when the Activesync did not work. Cable had come undone.
On re-plugging the cable the activesync worked but the installed programs
have disappeared from the Start/Programs menu. The folders and files still
exist on the SD card but the pocketpc does not see it. My questions are:

1) Is there a way to force the ppc to recognise it without having to do a
re-install?

or

2) Is there a way to make it revert back to a 'new' state and then install
the programs from scratch?

I'm a newbie with this type of file system. Doesn't appear to be similar to
windows for installing and uninstalling programs.
Appreciate any help with this.

Thanks

Brian

Re: Programs gone AWOL

Have you tried a simple soft reset on your device? This will generally fix
this kind of problem.

Re: Programs gone AWOL

Thanks David.

I had tried that before and again now, but still no joy.
I was intending wiping the SD card and reinstalling but was hoping for a
solution to avoid doing that.

Regards

Brian
