What apps are you using? It must be a third party app issue.

Don't forget you can't really run memory-hungry apps on your device, as has
also been pointed out in the related articles on my blog (see for example
http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/ind...&c=1&tb=1&pb=1 )
- that is, try to minimize the use of, for example, Adobe Acrobat Reader,
NetFront etc

OIC. How many contacts / calendar items do you have?

Have you installed the ROM upgrade?

Re: Grateful for advice re iPAQ rx1950

I've had 2 rx1950s over the past year now, and except for an unforunate
incident with a mini computer on the shelf and my rx1950 on the
table...well it's been good : )

Please read
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/f...95616+28353475
we have a ton of posts there on this lol. A man those were the days :)

I do not recommend installing the ROM update, or the other tricks like
the IR keyboard drivers. Just do this workaround:

When it was off for a few hours or more, it would not turn on, and the
battery would be very low and had to soft reset. I found another thread
that attributed the problem to ActiveSync w/ WM 5.0. You need to set
Activesync on the Ipaq to manual schedule. You can do this by adding a
fake exchange server connection -> ActiveSync -- Menu -- Add Server
Source -- Enter an Ip address like "1.1.1.1" -- enter anything in the
next 3 windows. After the fake exchange server is set, Menu/Schedule is
available. Set both windows to Manual. Then, go back to connections and
delete the fake exchange server (Menu -- Options -- Highlight the fake
connection and delete it.)

Hope that helps,
Peter

What are you doing when you find that you have to reset?

I've had my rx1950 for a couple of weeks now and I've only had to reset it
two or three times when it wouldn't allow me to delete text using the
backspace key on the keyboard.
