Autocomplete database

How can you edit the words the PPC "learns"? Like typos.

Re: Autocomplete database

a soft reset will clear the typos... and everything else it has learned
since the last soft reset

There are a couple of utilities which allow editing the list... google time.

Sadly not in WM5. After years of wishing a soft reset DIDN'T clear the
list, well, you know the old saying: "be careful what you wish for!"

Now every misspelling and typo you make is preserved in persistent
storage!

Or, for a quick solution you can delete \Windows\dyncompdict.dat and soft-
reset and start compiling common typos again from scratch! ;-)

Re: Autocomplete database

I've elaborated on all these questions in
http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/foru...c.php?p=365548 and in a
Pocket PC Mag article.

Will publish an updated version (with listing the new editors released in
the meantime) of all these in the near future.
