Web browsers in Pocket Pc devices

I was wondering why web browsers in pocket pcs are so bad? For example, if
you compare the pocket IE to Nokia's S60 3rd web browser... Nokia's browser
is just awesome! Which browsers you usually use? Is the Opera any good? Or
is there any real alternatives for the pocket IE?

Re: Web browsers in Pocket Pc devices

Pocket IE is the worst available browser for the PPC, which other ones
have you looked at? Opera and NetFront are both very decent browsers,
and Minimo is worth keeping an eye on.

Re: Web browsers in Pocket Pc devices

Well, let me disagree - there ARE web pages that the OSS browser can't
render w/o horizontal scrolling. In this respect, "One Column"-capable PPC
web browsers do have a lead.

There's no Flash / Java applet support in it either, unlike on the PPC.

Please read the Web Browsers category on my blog - I've published hundreds
of articles on Pocket PC Web browsers. It's there that you'll find all the
information on what is available and recommended.
