Open Path problem using Windows mobile 5.0

Using my HP iPAQ running Win CE 4.2, when connected to my wireless network,
I have no trouble using the Internet or using File Explorer to open a path
to a shared folder on any other computer on the LAN.

Using my new UTStarcom PPC6700 (Pocket PC phone) running Windows mobile 5.0,
when connected to my wireless network, I can use the Internet, but I can get
File Explorer to open a path to a shared folder on any other computer on the
LAN. When I try, I get the message: "Cannot connect with the current
connection settings...". It appears to be trying to use the cell phone
instead of the Wi-Fi.

The Wi-Fi sees the router and is assigned an IP address and is usable for
going on the Internet, but no luck browsing the LAN. Can this be done with
Windows Mobile?
