| Windows Live Search Mobile I cannot find a support page for Live Search Mobile. I have a Samsung Omnia i910(Verizon). I downloaded the latest version of Live Search V 4.1.2029.1 Paired with a Bletooth GPS...In a populated area with 3 or more bars. The app finds the GPS reciever quickly, but the map does not refresh, the icon spins around as I drive and change directions but it is very slow in refreshing the map. In comparisons Google Maps is able to keep the map refresh up to date even zoomed in at the max while going down the Interstate highway. If you click on view (aerial or road) the map pops up, I can see as I drive the app is accessing the network by the connectivity icon arrows at the top. But I have to keep clicking on AERIAL or ROAD to get a update of the map. Between the two - Google Maps and Live Search....the Speech Recognition is the killer edge, but the maps when driving have to update. Now I was unable to find a forum for just Live Search.....if there is one that I missed would somebody kindly point me the way? Thanks |

I'm using an HTC Kaiser on T-Mobile USA, which is limited to 2.5G EDGE data service (about 150kbps) and I get intermittent trouble loading maps, but not to the extent you're having. I generally suspect it's server trouble (overloading?) on MS' end, but that's just a guess (I notice, for example, that it seems to be worse during what I suspect are "peak" navigation periods- rush hour and weekends.) |
