I cannot log in to my account on WLM in my phone. It displays the error
"there is a problem with the server. please try again later" as shown in
this screenshot:

I guessed that it may have "logged on" but it didn't successfully continued,
because when I'm logged on to WLM (Wave 3) in my desktop, i get the message
"You have signed in to Messenger on too many other computers. Click here to
sign in again" as shown in this screenshot:

I have tried connecting using home WiFi, Public Wifi, GPRS/HSDPA, and via
Activesync, to no avail. I tried installing another CAB for Windows Live,
but still the same results. I removed the display picture in my desktop WLM,
but still the same. I have tried to Switch Windows Live ID, and enter the
same Live ID, and still the same too. But when i use someone else's Live ID,
it works perfectly.

All of my Windows Live components, such as hotmail, push and contact
synchronization are working properly except for Messenger. Looking at Sync
Status, there is a line that says "Contacts: This instant messaging address
is not valid for use with Messenger. Please enter a valid Windows Live
ID."., as indicated in this screenshot:

have been using this Live ID (a custom domain created on Windows Live Admin
Center) on WLM Mobile for years, its only a few weeks ago since i started to
encounter this problem.

Is there a way to fix this problem?

I have exactly the same problem with my new x1a. hope microsoft could solve
it as soon as possible

similar problems here on a samsung sgh-i200.
messenger never worked, and since 2 weeks or so contacts syncing does not
work as well :(
several people have the same problem and i have seen not one solution yet!
microsoft, are you aware of this???

it works since this morning! I can now sign in and see my online contacts
etc.
however, communication is still not possible: IMs don't get through for some
reason...
hopefully they'll fix that soon!

Been emailing Windows Live Support.

They say it is a known problem and, although it is a high priority, they
dont have a specific timetable for the resolution.

I have the exact same problem. Contact and Email sync works fine, but I cannot sign into messenger on ANY Windows Mobile device (I've tried my own HTC Touch, my coworkers' Touch, and another friend's Mogul).

But they can use my phone just fine. It must be my Live account.

Microsoft called me today and said I should just make a new account, but I find that unacceptable that I should have to change my email address.
