| Re: Wrong personal name CLINTON After correcting my name on the device, (from Wm_Bohley to just Bohley) it appears to take on the device. However just as soon as I create a new note in Outlook, the note is saved a folder on my desktop with the old incorrect name again. If I delete that folder it is re-created incorrectly????? Alas, what to do. Any additional help will be appreciated. I know it is difficult to do what you do from there. But what you do is appreciated, at least by me. Jerry, I think that, to fix this, you would have to remove the current Activesync partnership, and then recreate it with the new device name. However, are you aware that the "WM" part of the name is standard for these devices. It is short for Windows Mobile (rather than "William"). I have several of these, and they are all called WM_ something (where the something is usually the model-name, but sometimes my name). -- WH |

| Re: Wrong personal name Jerry, It is possible that ActiveSync did not accept the change. You can go into My Documents and do a refresh it should be named to the new name "Documents on Bohley". It is possible that the shortcut will not rename. You will just need to delete the shortcut on your desktop and create one for the new folder above. In some cases ActiveSync doesn't correct the folders. In this case, you can delete the partnership then recreate it and it will be named properly. | Re: Wrong personal name Wow! What you never know about unless someone else shares their experience. Thank you for that. That helps in accepting WM. Not that I don't like the name William in front of my last name (we don't have anyone in our family with that name) but it is nice to know that WM stands for Windows Mobile and not .... Thanks much for the insight Jerry Bohley (not WM Bohley) "William" <william@lowerknowle.com> wrote in message news:5f3077b6-c65d-41f6-80cf-ef334c436ffa@t26g2000prh.googlegroups.com... > On 10 Jan, 03:11, "Jerry" <je...@home.home> wrote: >> CLINTON >> After correcting my name on the device, (from Wm_Bohley to just Bohley) >> it >> appears to take on the device.
