Newbie to PDA

Recently got a HTC TyTn. Have managed to set it up on 2 different routers to
download emails which work fine. When out of reach of these routers
presumably it will try do the same by a phone call? It does, and I have a
sim card with credit, but it doesn't download my emails. Wonder where I go
from here?

Re: Newbie to PDA

Hello,

You have to configure your phone to use your carrier's data network to
access your email. Please verify you have DATA access on your plan as
without it (or a small amount), email can get very expensive.

On your email, are you downloading corporate email via Exchange or are you
downloading mail from a POP account such as Gmail?

Regards,

Re: Newbie to PDA

Okay, so what you need to do is find out the POP & SMTP servers for your
email provider. These are usually published on the providers website if
they offer the service. Once you have that information, your username and
password, go to Messaging, Menu>Tools>New Account.

See if http://www.3g.co.uk/3GForum/showthread.php?t=59497 or
http://www.wirelessforums.org/uk-tel...ini-51739.html
has the settings you need. You have to set up an APN in the
Internet section for it to use when WiFi isn't available.
