| Favorites disappear Hi, I have a Pocket PC running Windows Mobile 6.1 . In Pocket IE I have created a folder of favorites. Every once in a while, all of my favorites in this folder will disappear and I have to recreate them. The folder itself is still there, as are any favorites that were not in the folder. This has happened enough times to me that it is getting quite annoying. Has anybody else seen this behavior, or have any insight into the problem? Thanks, I. Kinal |

| Re: Favorites disappear Hello, I have seen this problem before (experienced it as well). Are you synchronizing your favorites with your PC vai ActiveSync/WMDC? If you are synching, AS/WMDC does get confused at times on synchronizing Favorites. When this happens, go into AS/WMDC and disable synchronization of Mobile Favorites. Disconnect your device, reconnect and when it is synch'ed again, recheck Mobile Favorites. It should push them down to your device and you should be good-to-go. | Re: Favorites disappear Hi, Thanks for the response! Yes, I am synchronizing my favorites with my PC via WMDC. The next time that this problem happens, I will try what you suggest. I will post back here at that time. Thanks again! I. In my case, I only seem to randomly lose favorites that are inside subfolders- if I was willing to keep a hundred plus faves all at the top level, it probably wouldn't be a problem! I just backup my mobile favorites to a zip file (with Total Commander) on my storage card every now and then, as you suggest. (I like using a zip file because of the incredible waste of space on the sorage card otherwise- each favorite is a separate file of just a few bytes that take up 4k or 8k each depending on the storage card formatting.) |
