Is there any way to synch Vista Contacts, Task an Calendar with my device. I
do not want to use Outlook.

To much annoyance, there is not currently a way to do it.
Early last year I emailed the team responsible for WMDC and they said it is
currently not being added but it is something under consideration for the
future.
Its not that it is impossible to do, Nokia software manages to sync with
vista features, they are just being lazy :-(

At this point the only way to sychronize Contacts and Tasks are through
Outlook. Rest assured that this is one of several items the Windows Mobile
MVPs have brought to the Vista and ActiveSync/WMDC groups as an area of
needed improvement.

Contacts, Calendar and TAsks. It cost $19.99 and a trial version is available.

There are also some online subscription options... I have a little
experience with goosync which did a seamless job of syncing google
calendar and since there they have added contacts sync.

The problem, from what I can tell reading the website, is that the $19.99
product is a "migration tool" designed to move _all_ PIM data from PC to
device or vice versa, rather than an actual sync tool that updates changes
on either device. The sync tool, according to the website is $59.99.

If you don't update data on both devices frequently, you could get by with
the migration tool perhaps.

That's a huge disappointment. I've tried Outlook and I find it way over the
top for me it used to slow down my previous xp laptop and I have no
intention of installing it on my new laptop. I think its ridiculous that
there is no support for this even in Win Mobile 6/ Vista. Guess I won't be
buying another Pocket PC until there's support for this.

I tried XTNDConnect PC but I'm still having problems getting the trial
version to work.

Could you please elaborate ? Which product is this ? Is it standard software
that comes with one of their phones ? Does it sync Vista contacts/ calendar
with Windows Mobile or its own PIM software ?

That's just a comment on the fact that some folks work with the Vista
standard items. Nokia software connects with Nokia phones which use there
own OS. There is no WM Nokia phone.
