| Pocket PC stopped connecting I connected my PDA up to my computer to sync it like I have done so many times. Windows Mobile Device Center shows it "connecting" (not syncing yet) and then it says, "not connected". It will not "connect". I shut down my computer and restarted and will not connect. The last time I synced it was two days ago the same way I have done it so many times. It synced normally. Nothing has changed since then and now. I have no explanation why it does not connect now. I have not done anything to change anything that I can think of. I have not installed any software; I have not changed any settings for the PDA or computer or security settings or anything. I may have run Windows update but I usually only get a Defender update which I have never had any trouble with it. My PDA connected fine two days ago. It will not connect now. I have no explanation why. Any ideas how to get it to connect and sync like it has always done? Background info: HP iPAQ RX3115 - Samsung S3c2440 Processor Windows Mobile 2003 second edition version 4.21.1088 (build 14235.2.0.0) I have a AMD 4400+ 64X2 4GB memory 320GB HD(way bigger than I need) Acer computer (AM3100-U3201A) I purchased new February 2008 running 32-bit MS Vista Home Premium SP1 box. I check for MS auto updates very frequently. I think it has onboard shared memory for video and sound. I use Quest DSL 1.5mb service with modem direct to computer. No switches or routers or wireless or any other networking hardware. Thanks for the help. Bob |

| Re: Pocket PC stopped connecting You mentioned having reset the desktop...have you reset the PDA? Every now and then, I have the same thing happen and simply removing the pda from the cradle, doing a soft reset and putting it back in the cradle solves it. | Re: Pocket PC stopped connecting I _think_ one issue is memory. I sometimes have problems soon after using apps that use a lot of memory. A soft reset would clear them out of memory.
