The second picture link isn't working for me, but the first looks like
you're ready to connect. Now you'd just set up the Bluetooth PAN connection
on the Mac.

Not to change the subject of the thread, but how is Mac OS NOT proprietary?
It comes bundles with particular hardware only, and isn't available in a
retail box for installation on non-Apple machines. Given it's relatively
low marketshare, I can understand why Mac support has been left to third
parties, but it would certainly be nice if there was a Mac sync solution
available.

At this point it should just work, assuming the computer and phone have been
paired already, unless your carrier has some magical way of blocking the
connection unless you subscribe to an extra cost "tethering" plan (which is
possible, seeing how they didn't include the app in the first place.)

I called Verizon, and they told me I didn't install it... well actually
my boss didn't install it when we upgraded the phone from 5 to 6.

Strange, it died for me too.

The screen says a crossed connection has been detected, Please verify
your settings and try again.

I've never run into that. I assume this error is on the Mac, not the
device?

Is it possible you still have the Mac connected to the 'net (via ethernet
or WiFi) and it's warning you that you've connected to two networks?
(Otherwise I can't guess what "crossed connection" means.)

Ah ha... good point. I turned off the Airport (802.11) but didn't
release the ip addy.

This is changing the subject a bit. I have a new LG Incite from AT&T. It has
an Internet Sharing icon. I'm trying to figure out how to use the feature.
How do I configure it on my phone and on my XP Pro laptop? I've talked to
AT&T Tech Support who passed me on the LG who tried to pass me back to AT&T!
They also suggested contacting Microsoft. They, of course, don't have free
phone support. I can't find online documentation. Does it exist, or can
someone help me out?

First, Activesync must be installed on the laptop. (This installs the
USB modem drivers on the PC.) Then you simply run Internet Sharing on
the device, select the correct Access Point (isp.cingular if you have a
PDA plan, wap.cingular if you have "MEdia Net") and select USB as a
connection. Plug the device into the PC, then hit "connect" on the device.
This will disconnect the Activesync connection that's trying to start
and start the Internet Sharing connection instead. At this point, the
phone connects as a network adapter (much like a WiFi USB dongle) and the
internet connection should "just work."

Actually, the documentation is right on the device. Launch Internet
Sharing on the device, then tap Start / Help and the instructions for it
will pop up. This works with pretty much any included app on the phone,
as well as many 3rd-party apps.

On at least some devices, the "Network Connection" drop down provides
choices among connections set up using "Connection Manager". In my
case, that list includes dial up to my ISP.
