TyTN2 (Kaiser)

Hi, Having upgraded my TyTN 2 to Windows Mobile 6.1 the GPS no longer works.
TomTom can detect the receiver but is unable to detect a valid signal from
the satellites. Does anyone know a cure (other than installing a non-legal
ROM)?

TIA

Might try a hard reset (clear storeage) and maybe reflash the ROM
again. I upgraded mine and the GPS worked fine.

Re: TyTN2 (Kaiser)

After flashing the WM 6.1 into the TyTN II it needs a very long time
until the first fix (nearly 30min). Although running the
"QuickGPS"-application and updating the data before!
Just put Your TyTN II under open air with free view to the sky and wait
a little bit longer. This worked for me, maybe it will work for You too.
Kind regards, Helge

Thanks to all who advised, it might well have been my impatience. Waiting
longer for the first fix seems to have got it working again! Roger

I got ahold of a TyTN 2 with WM6.1 just recently and it takes a very long
time to find the GPS.

There is one thing that seems to help it find the GPS and that is if I use
the application found at m.live.com (Microsoft Live Search) first.

While we are talking about the TyTN II. I can't get the BT DUN to work
properly. I can use BT DUN to get intenet into the TyTN2 but when I try to
use it the other way it diconnects right after the phone number is dialed.
I know my provider supports BT DUN because I've used it before with my SIM
card in another PPC.

Any Ideas?
