SD card - lost all data

The 1 GB SD card in my iPAQ 2210 occasionally gets accidentally
ejected. Normally I just replace it and re-start, or reset, with no
subsequent problem. But today, while using my PPC on a walk to record
a GPS track, the SD card got ejected but this time it somehow lost all
its files. Luckily I have a fairly recent backup on my PC, so it's not
a disaster, but I'm curious to know if that's ever happened to anyone
else please?

Use GetDataBack32 or, if you absolutely don't want to pay for it, chkdsk.

Something similar happened to me when I slipped and the SD card got a
big static spark after coming out of the PDA. It's only happened that
one time in many years, but it does happen occasionally.

I lost a few minor things, but I'm also somewhat careful about backups.

Jack Tingle

this is some of my collection of good data recovery programs, these will
probably do the trick (most are freeware but if it takes a paid program to
do it.. )
