| SMS Messages on Windows Mobile 6.1 - cannot Forward or Save a SMS text message. Problem: SMS Messages on Windows Mobile 6.1 - cannot Forward or Save a SMS text message. Forwarding a text message is impossible directly, but there is a work around. Saving SMS cannot be done, unless one of you knows how and if you then please tell. With HTC Touch HD Windows Mobile 6.1 the SMS text messages appear as an email conversation, which is a good idea, but for some stupid reason it means I cannot select individual messages to forward. I also cannot select a message and Save It To "Jokes" folder, for example. It's been half developed, or it's bugged. When clicking on the message I want to use, if I keep my stylus pressed the menu pops up with Copy or Select All, that's it. Clicking on Menu shows Forward as greyed out. There is no option to Save To. Why? *** How to get round this with a complicated and slow trick *** You have to click on the sender's number/name within the text message conversation, this opens Contacts at their name/number. Close Contacts. When it returns to the message the single message you are interested in is now highlighted a different colour to the rest of the conversation. Now you can select and forward it. But still no option to SAVE the message. How am I supposed to save SMS's I want to keep, like Jokes? Definitely a problem, at least on HTC Touch HD, which looks fairly standard but might not be. Can other's with Windows Mobile 6.1 see if they can Save or Forward text messages? |

| Re: SMS Messages on Windows Mobile 6.1 - cannot Forward or Save a SMS text message. Forward an SMS can be done from the list of messages by a tap-and-hold on the desired message. It is not greyed out there. Regarding Save, I have never seen this option on previous versions. I will check. -- ---- Helio Diamant MS-MVP/Mobile Devices Editor - PocketPCFreak.com "Derek" <nothanks@nospamthanks.com> wrote in message news:e3Z2VBEXJHA.556@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > Problem: > SMS Messages on Windows Mobile 6.1 - cannot Forward or Save a SMS text > message. > Forwarding a text message is impossible directly, but there is a work > around. > Saving SMS cannot be done, unless one of you knows how and if you then > please tell. > > With HTC Touch HD Windows Mobile 6.1 the SMS text messages appear as an > email conversation, which is a good idea, but for some stupid reason it > means I cannot select individual messages to forward.
