| Vista Mobile Device Center doesn't recognize Pocket PC Hello - I have an HP iPAQ hw6955 with Activesync on it (I used this in the past for Windows XP) I just got a system with Vista Home Premium and have downloaded the Mobile Device Center and Mobile Device Center upgrade, but when I put the Pocket PC into the cradle nothing happens. When I invoke the Mobile Device Center from the Start Menu, it comes up but displays "not connected". Have seen many postings on the web for this issue but haven't been able to locate a solution. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem might be? Thanks in advance |

To do that, open Activesync on your device. Select your PC and click the Delete button. Let us know if this helps. For Vista there is Windows Mobile Device Centre (WMDC). The PC recognizes the device but WMDC never did and never set up a partnership. Still stuck. |

| Re: Vista Mobile Device Center doesn't recognize Pocket PC Just a shot in the dark, but did you set it to use "DMA" instead of the default "Bluetooth"? Still stuck. I'm not sure what DMA means. I'm not an expert, but I think the "default" is to put it in the cradle and connect via USB. I've been fiddling with it so maybe. Where would I look for DMA? |
