Guide-How to convert DVD and videos to ipod movie or ipod music

I bought a software about ipod video recently,it's wonderful.I want to share it
with everyone together and hope this software to have a help to the everyone .

Joy Video to iPod Converter can convert all video files such as DVD, MOV, MP4, RM, RMVB, DivX, ASF, VOB, 3GP, WMV, MPEG, AVI to iPod movies.

I'm pretty fond of pocketdivxencoder (freeware)

no instal, a totally standalone ap you can lug on a USB stick and run
wherever..

Do you know how big a DVD would be, once converted?

That depends on the bitrate you convert it at. I generally use
PocketDivxEncoder's default Pocket PC video setting with slightly better
audio and a 2-hour movie runs 250MB.

You have control of the audio and video quality settings and the program
will give you an estimate of filesize before encoding. Back in the days
when memory cards were more expensive I used to squash some 2-hour movies
for the kids down to 100k or so to fit my leftover 128MB CF cards. While it
was uglier, it was still watchable.

Incidentally, what kind of spec PPC do you require, I have an HTC Touch, is
this up to the job?
