Didn't realize that my post went out incomplete.

You can see from their website that they are selling more different PDAs
than ever. They just aren't made by Dell!

More important, they are still supporting the Dell PDAs. In another
thread I indicated I was about to give up on my X50v. Got no answers here.

So I went to Dell. PDA tech support had me do the following:
1. Remove battery
2. Put PDA on cradle3. Check if PDA was charging. It wasn't. If it
would have been, it would mean some kind of short.
3. Do a cold/full boot-reset (power button + reset), with PDA on
cradle. Still didn't reset
4. Lock keyboard with lock switch. Do a cold/full boot-reset (power
button + reset), with PDA on cradle. Still didn't reset
5. Unlock keyboard with lock switch. Do a cold/full boot-reset (power
button + reset), with PDA on cradle. That did it.

I replaced the battery and was able to recover my data.

Hope this helps someone else.

Well, they certainly do not support the x50v on their website. If you click
on accessories, there are no screen protectors, replacement styluses,
replacement batteries, etc. They do offer the cradle, but that is pretty
much an unnecessary item.

I love my x50v, but have given up hope that Dell will ever support it.

I've always found Dell phone support to be lacking. Great difficulty in
finding the right number, being bounced around from one support person
to another.

I am, of course, talking about tech support.

But, that, of course, is an item you can't acquire anywhere else. The
only must-have item is a battery, and you can purchase them for the x50v
all over the web. I now buy mine locally at a Battery World store,
which also has a website.

Try calling 800-624-0907, select PDA (that will get you to PDA support)
and ask if they have replacement screen protectors or styli, etc. for
the x50v.

Been there...done that! I have both a personal and a business account with
Dell, and would prefer to use their website to order accessories for my
PDA's, as I can then use them as business purchases at tax time. Other than
cradles, and a few refurbished parts, Dell is no longer supporting any of
it's PDA's.
