| How to disable certificate check?? "file @ Cannot be opened.Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of itscomponents cannot be found" I have a Verizon XV6700 (HTC PPC, WM5). When I run applications which reside in my SD card from shortcuts in the Start menu (these apps work fine when clicked on directly on the SD card), it says "The file ... cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found." - how do I disable this certificate check? Mike |

It doesn't seem to indicate anything significant (except not to trust any message raised by a Microsoft product!). Usually at the most it needs a soft reset to cure it, if merely switching off and/or removing the SD card has not fixed it. Mike. -- |

I'll try removing and reinserting the card... Thanks, Mike |

Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found" The last part of that message is also significant. You can get this message if your application is corrupted and a dependent DLL is missing. On a pocket pc, it's not likely that signing is the problem. -- Scott Yost Software Development Engineer/Test Microsoft Corp. This only happens when I try to activate the application via a shortcut that lives in the Today menu's Programs section. Mike |
