Pocket PC 1024 x 768?

Hi,

I'm looking for a device like an archos (ie small and portable) which
has a resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher. I need this to play some
videos on public transport. Yes, I do need this higher screen
resolution as the videos are of screen capture. Anyone seen anything
like this?

Sometimes it helps to describe what you're trying to accomplish.
There might be a solution other than brute force...

Doesn't the video player take care of the resolution issues?

If you mean you want to see every pixel, you've got other problems.
pixel size/screen size
eyeball resolution
ambient light
motion of the transport
amount of memory required to store an uncompressed image that
faithfully reproduces every pixel.

Just because every pixel is there on the tiny screen doesn't mean
that useful information is being conveyed to the human.

Reminds me of the TV commercial of a circumcision taking place in the
back seat of a luxury car. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Re: Pocket PC 1024 x 768?

Your only choice is a device with VGA (NOT analogue composite - that is, not
ATI-based devices like the x7500!) output. I recommend the Dell Axim x50v /
x51v the most.

There're some CF-based output solutins as well, but they're either MUCH
slower or don't support XGA resolution.

I also reocmmend my Dell Axim x50v / x51v VGA output cable roundup on my
blog.
