How do you manually add or remove items form the list of programs in
windows mobile if you can't use the 'remove program' in settings?

The "default" method of installing and uninstalling ppc apps is via
activesync... you install the app on the pc, then activesync installs it
on the ppc.

Conversely, if you want to remove a program, open your sync computer's
start/settings/addremove... and programs installed via activesync will
be listed with your pc programs... remove them here and they will be
removed from the ppc on the next sync...
