Adding a contact in calendar

Looking for help.I want to be able to link a contact to a calendar event so
that I can call that contact directly from the current screen. I have a two
part problem. The first part is when I try to add an attendee(s) to an event
in my calendar. I'm only allowed to add contacts when there is an email
associated to that contact. Many of my contacts do not have an email. The
second problem is when I do add a contact to an event, I'm given the option
YES or NO to save the change AND send an update to attendees.I don't wantto
send an email, but would like the ability to look at the contact
information.

Thank you,
Gary
