I set an alarm last night for this morning to wake me up at 05:30. I
checked Play Sound and Repeat Sound with the other options unchecked.
I used the Cingular tone. I selected M-F and I checked the box to
activate it. I actually woke up earlier and began getting ready which
went past 05:30. When I finally returned to the phone, the alarm was
not playing; nor did I notice at the time.

Later in the morning, I had to reset the phone several times to get
the Modem Link to work properly. After that, I noticed that the
Cingular Tone was playing at random intervals. One time after 20
seconds; the next after 5 minutes, 1 minute, etc. I unchecked all of
the alarms, the options for playing sound, etc. I still had the
problem. I reset by pushing the reset button. Problem still
existed. I finally popped the battery out and replaced it. I still
have the alarm going off at random intervals.

I noticed in another forum posting for the HTC 8125, that someone else
was having this issue last year. The resolution was fix provided by
HTC.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, were you able to fix
it and how?
