I've been looking at getting the Sprint PPC-6700 phone but was wondering if
there is a difference between the versions of CE? Basicaly can I use my
navigation and other CE software on the phone? or do I need specific
software for that?

The PPC 6700 runs Windows Mobile 5, which has Windows CE 4.x
under the hood. You need software that is compatible with WM5.
Just running on CE may not work as the PPC has added some APIs
and doesn't use everything available in the CE platform builder.
