WM2003 Messaging auto complete fails

I have using an Audiovox 6600 with WM2003SE and everything appears to
be working properly the auto complete feature in Messaging does not
work correctly.

I have lots of email addresses in my Contacts directory but whenever I
start a new email and start typing in someones name on the To line
their name does not auto complete. I have verified the name and email
address but no matter what I do the auto complete does not work.

Has anyone ever run into this? A soft reset does not fix the problem.

Thanks,
Mike

Re: WM2003 Messaging auto complete fails

Did it ever work on your device - using the built-in keyboard?

With pre-WM6 OS'es, the support for non-SIP input methods were pretty much
non-existent, as is also explained in the "Mail header autocompletion,
independent of that of Windows Mobile?" row of the comparion chart (
http://www.winmobiletech.com/022006M...CompChart.html ) of
the Mailer Bible (
http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/ind...&c=1&tb=1&pb=1
).

I'm absolutely sure it'll work if you use the SIP - for example, the
on-screen keyboard.

Re: WM2003 Messaging auto complete fails

I have not tried with the built-in keyboard but the auto complete used
to work just fine using the on screen keyboard which is how the user
uses the device. It does not work with the on screen keyboard now. I
am running Utimaco Safeguard PDA on the device so I wonder if that is
getting in the way. The weird thing is that a few of the people in
the contact list will auto complete but most don't.
