Acer N50

Hi Becky. I'm a bit slow to catch on with the spam trap. Sorry. It's Evi
from the newsgroup who was looking for a PDA
How much are you selling your Acer N50 for. It sounds very nice and I've no
objection to second hand.
Evi

HI Evi, I was thinking around about £110 including next day special
delivery.
It does have 1Gb card, USB cable, USB host cable and a case, although the
case is a bit crappy. Still boxed and comes with Outlook 2002 on disc.

Something I must say about windows mobile 2003 though, if you let the
battery run dead then it will format the machine back to factory defaults.
I must stress this is not a fault of the machine but actually a "feature" on
the 2003 version. So regular backups are required. What is useful on this
Acer though is that it has a backup battery. I have tested the backup
battery and the machine will actually keep settings while switched off for
between 2-3 weeks before requiring a charge, so its not a serious issue its
just one to be aware of.

If I have not put you off and you are happy with that then contact me beck
AT spritesandbites.net
I will also add it is still under manufacturers warranty until early
December, so if you have any problem with it I can arrange to get it sorted.

Becky

Hi Becky, it's very tempting but that Acer N321 sounds even better. Bet you
won't have any trouble selling yours on Ebay though.

The Acer N311 is a better model, although it is also windows mobile 2003
aswell.

I won't sell it on ebay, don't like ebay, shall just keep it as a spare :-)

Windows mobile 2003 in many respects is better than windows mobile 5.
But as I said in my other post, if you allow the battery and backup battery
to go dead, you will lose all your stuff and it will format itself.

Re: Acer N50

I'd definitely go for WM5 instead of WM2003(SE), for many reasons; most
important being the compatibility with the latest titles.
