| How can I get icons of programs from storage card in my programs folder in WM 03 I've searched the archives, but I wasn't able to find exactly what I was looking for. I'm just trying to get and easier way to access the programs on my storage card with shortcuts. I really don't want a screen plug-in, but rather, just have the programs show up when I go into the programs folder on the device. These programs are already intstalled straight to the card, so they haven't been moved which means there is no existing short cut. How can I create a short cut? BTW, I'm using a ipaq 6315, T-Mobile phone with WM 2003 (not SE). -- Message posted via PocketPCJunkies.com http://www.pocketpcjunkies.com/Uwe/F...neral/200707/1 |

When you install a program to the storage card it generally creates a shortcut in your programs folder, so I'm not sure these programs of yours are properly installed. However, to create a shortcut is very similar to on a Windows desktop. In File Explorer, tap and hold on the program file, then go to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs find a blank spot, (scroll to the bottom) tap and hold, and select "Paste Shortcut." -- Todd Allcock (Replace 'AmericaOnLine' with 'AOL' to e-mail me.) Composed and sent via my Pocket PC Phone, otherwise this post would've been longer, much wittier, and spell-checked. There's only so much I can tap on a soft keyboard! |

I didn't realize it was that easy to do! All this time, I was just going straight to the programs folder (without going to the start menue) and trying to paste the shortcut there. Thanx again. BTW, I forgot that I copied these programs to my card so they were not really installed properly. -- Message posted via PocketPCJunkies.com http://www.pocketpcjunkies.com/Uwe/F...neral/200707/1 |
