| Treo mobile phones and Exchange email syncing (Exchange 2003 SP2) Hi, Has anyone else had problems with Treo mobile phones (the Windows Mobile 5.0 based models like the 750) and Exchange Sync with Exchange 2003 SP2? When you sync email from the phone the email headers are all over the place. Normally email headers are somewhat ordered .... who the mail is to ... who it's from .... the content type ... etc, and they are consistent. With a Treo it's more like ... some mime header info first up... then the content type .... who the mail is from ... some more about the content type ..... a bit more about the mime data .....the originating server ...... and finishing up with who the mail is to. And send / sync another email and you'll get a different order next time. It's even worse with replies where the all the reply recipients can be duplicated. In particular this is causing problems in the MailMsg object in transport event sinks. Properties aren't being mapped properly, recipients are being dropped .... it's a mess. Other Windows Mobile 5.0 based phones and PDAs seem ok. Anyone else seen this? Regards, Todd todd_cheaterson********.com |

No. We have one Treo 700w on our network and it works just like the other WM5/6 devices. -- __________________________________________________ ________________________________ Ed Hansberry (Please do *NOT* email me. | Re: Treo mobile phones and Exchange email syncing (Exchange 2003 SP2) It literally took me less than 5 minutes to set up. You have to enable it in Exchange 2003 SP2, then simply enter the correct server and email credentials on the phone, and also the activesync settings on the phone. Does your Internet access work OK on the phone? If not, neither will wireless activesync. Are you sure you have the right data plan with your phone service provider? | Re: Treo mobile phones and Exchange email syncing (Exchange 2003 SP2) His internet is fine on the phone and he hits our OWA fine, it's the active sync that will not work. Now it tells us the server is NOT an Exchange box! One of our folks was trying to get a 700p - that's a "P" version, not a "W" version running, but I haven't checked the status recently to see how it turned out. |
