| ActiveSync problem Can't seem to connect my IPAQ 4350 using ActiveSync 3.8 (this version was recommended over 4.5, supposed to be more stable?) Keep getting message: Your device was not detected. Checked the troubleshooting tips at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...c/default.mspx I use ZoneAlarm's free firewall, not the security suite. The following programs have checkmarks across the board: ActiveSync Application, ActiveSync Connection Manager, Application Manager. The troubleshooting guide says I should also have a file called Rapimgr.exe, but that does not appear in the ActiveSync folder. The guide then says "In the Main window, click on the "Firewall" tab in the left pane. Click on the "Expert" tab in the main window." But I don't see any Expert tab. The guide says I'm supposed to add a Rule, then navigate to Protocol, but I don't see any of this, maybe it's only in the Security Suite? Any idea what might be causing the problem? Thanks! -- We are so vain that we even care for the opinion of those we don't care for. ....Marie Ebner von Eschenbach |
