bells and .....

Hi all out there!

I Igot an HP-iPAQ hx2490b.
Whe I set tha alarm, for (the siesta), it seems not possible to cancel
the sound, it continue to sound. I have to make a reset to stop the
noise.

And when it restarts it plays all alarm sounds in th box at random for
a couple of minutes.

Right now, it says "plong" once in a while and I have not any alarms
set up.

Next question:
I uninstalled a program that I tested, and now it seems that there is
a autostart reference to it. "Can not execute....." etc. I have not
found any utilites that can clean up the registry, but I am sure there
is somewhere.

It is rather anoying to have it sounding at "random" I have to keep
the speaker switched off, and then I am loosing an important tool.

Any clues?

/Bertil

Re: bells and .....

Check the Windows - Startup folder for any reference to the
application. if you do not find anything there, try SK Tools to clean
up your device.

Re: bells and .....

Thanks Linley !
I will start testing the SK Toolkit.
And hopefully it will solve the issues with the sound also.

Wow! I didn't know about the Windows Startup folder. I've got things
in there I thought were long gone. Any idea where I can find info about
the following:

BioDetect
BTTrayCE
iPAQ Wireless
poutlook
SEUni
SWB
