Help with Direct Push

My device (mda vario/t mobile) apparently supports push email but I think I
have an issue.

Can anyone tell me what this is please?

I think its the icon to represent push, but I cannot activate it. Tapping
on it does nothing.

I am sure I have done everything required. I have Flexmail 2007 and have
set it up to use IMAP4 folders instead of POP.

Re: Help with Direct Push

Push mail works in conjunction with Microsoft Exchange server but not with
IMAP.

Re: Help with Direct Push

Beck,

Puch Mail does not work with IMAP or POP accounts but only with Exchange
accounts. That said, with IMAP or POP accounts you can configure Flexmail
to check for new messages every few minutes while it is running -
essentially given you the "push" effect.

Regards,

You are correct- it's the Push indicator.

Correct- it's an indicator showing when Push is active- not an on/off
switch.

Push mail on a PPC works through a Microsoft Exchange Server only, and
will show up in your "Outlook E-Mail" messaging account's inbox. For a
free Exchange push mail account, check out live.mail2web.com.

An alternative to Exchange that uses your home PC as the server is a
program from Emoze (www.emoze.com.)
