| Which PDA Should I Buy To Use With Flash Cards (for learning)? I want to buy a PDA so I can study flash cards and "learn on the go." At the moment, I have no other use in mind; I don't really need to keep a contact list, browse the web while in my car or check email. Seems like this is a modest need, so I'm hoping to find something cheap (like, under $150). The flash cards could potentially have sound and graphics so having a health chunk of memory might be desirable. Also, I'd like a very readable screen. Any suggestions? I would consider spending more if there is some compelling benefit that I just haven't learned about yet. Thanks! --nick |

If you are using or considering to use Vista then go with PPC 2003+ forward, 2002 will not sync with it. As a note, if you do need a flash card program there are several free ones available from pocket pc freewares and other places, not to mention a lot of very economical choices at handango and pocket gear. http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=939 http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=1603 |

Most likely, "Winflash" by Open Window. |

Thanks -- that helps. > As a note, if you do need a flash card program there are several free > ones available from pocket pc freewares and other places, not to mention > a lot of very economical choices at handango and pocket gear. > > http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=939 > > http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/...php?soft=1603- Hide quoted text - I looked at several low-cost or free programs, but I'll probably go with Winflash Educator ($40). It has lots of features and I like going with something that's in development by an actual existing company. $40 is fairly trivial considering I'll use it to improve my computer skills and hopefully increase my earning potential by many times that amount. Winflash downloads its flash cards to the PDA via a program called HandyMed. > - Show quoted text - |
