What a long long name .. wonder what they are calling it. I just bought
one, received it this week. My question is this.

Just purchased the new dopod U1000 Athena Advantage X7500 .. I believe the
O/S is Microsoft Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC Phone Edition .. Anyone else
have this ? and is it slower than slow ??

I play a couple of games .. Bejeweled .. performs a little slow on this o/s
.... Paintball .. even slower .. Gemslider .. INSANE SLOW .. Even if I close
every app .. I have the games stored in the addl memory .. there are 7 free
gigs ..

PS .. When the rom update comes out, I understand I get a free update, do
you think that it will interfere with my tmobile connection if I upgrade the
rom ? Lately Tmobile seems a bit behind in everything .

Unfortunately, VGA devices CAN be pretty slow to run SOME (not all!) games.
This is why you're enountering slowdowns.

The cure for this is trying to find an alternative title of the same genre.
To do this, I recommend for example the game reviews on my blog - I've
posted a review of almost all new games / releases in the last 1.5 years.

There were a few that played well on my 2003 phone, and still play well on
2005 .. Gamebox Gems for one .. Cubis for another. As you see, they are all
pretty much the same . . Time killer games, that's what I call them.
