I note mention of this problem a couple of years ago in the forum, but it does not seem to have been resolved. I have the identical problem. I have copied my outlook.pst file from my notebook computer, and wish to use it with my desktop computer. Both are running WinXp Pro SP3 and have the same software for Microsoft Outlook (2000 SP-3 version 9.0.0 build 6627.)
On my notebook computer that file is located in c:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook (as it should be.) However, my desktop computer does not show ANY Local Settings folder anywhere. I have c:\Documents and Settings\user but there is no Local Settings folder in there. I have checked to see if it might be Hidden, but it just is not there; period. I did locate a file c:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook and tried pasting the outlook.pst file in there, but it does not show my data when I open Outlook.
