AALF is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to advocating anytime, anywhere learning.
The Foundation achieves its aims by:
- promoting the effective use of personal computers and associated technologies in building powerful learning experiences;
- creating and sustaining a community interested in universal access to personal computers and associated technologies for learning;
- educating and training teachers and school leaders regarding excellent use of technology in learning;
- serving as an information clearinghouse for educators, policy-makers, industry and members of the media interested in one-to-one computing in education;
- sponsoring research regarding the benefits and effective practices of one-to-one computing in learning; and
- promoting public awareness regarding the benefits of universal access to technology.
